Results of the INCUBATE project

Welcome to INCUBATE’s public dissemination webinar organized by the INCUBATE consortium and co-hosted by the Nordic Institute of Navigation

All good things must come to an end, and so must our three-year project, Indoor Navigation from Cubesat Technology – INCUBATE. We extend our gratitude to our project funders, the Technology Industries of Finland Centennial Foundation and the Jane and Aatos Erkko Foundation, who believed in our project idea years ago.

INCUBATE project aimed at promoting the usage of LEO small satellites for precise positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) information in challenging conditions and how these can be obtained in indoor environments. One of the goals was also to design a suitable LEO-PNT satellite for navigation.

Over the past three years, much has happened in the satellite sector. Major crises have exposed the vulnerabilities of GNSS navigation, and many actors have begun exploring the use of LEO satellites. For example, the European Space Agency (ESA) has launched their FutureNav mission.

To share the results of the INCUBATE project, we are organizing an open dissemination webinar on

8 November, 2024, from 11:15 to 12:00 (EET).

You are welcome to the webinar to hear more of INCUBATE project’s achievements.
